Awareness and knowledge on biomedical waste disposal of dental materials among dental students

Introduction: Management of waste generated from the medical sector is a challenging task and it critical issue because acts as hazard for human health well environment. The dental clinics are sharps, glasswares, metallic implants, blood, mercury, lead, biodegradable wastes, non wastes chemical wastes. It important to segregate transport these using proper guidelines. Aim: To assess knowledge, attitude practice biomedical disposal among students. Materials methods: Self administrated questionnaire was designed distributed through an online google forms link. Study population included 100 undergraduate students belonging age group 18 24 years. participants were explained about purpose study in detail. questions carefully studied corresponding answers marked by participants. data collected statistically analysed SPSS software version 22.0. Chi- Square analysis performed p<0.05 considered significant. Results: From obtained concluded that 87 % people aware methods techniques handle waste.
